I decided to start a blog. Why? Because there is a part of me that longs to create, that wants to connect with people, that needs more than just a job and weekends.
As far as I can remember, I’ve always been trying to build a startup, make an app, or start a business. All my attempts were sabotaged by myself: my lack of inexperience, consistency, courage, and willingness to change.
I worked on an online platform that provides psychological support; an online courses platform that teaches beauty and make-up skills; I had a startup cofounded with my friends aimed to improve FMCG promo practices; and an online jewellery shop with a 3d editor built-in; …
And almost every time the same pattern appeared with the same outcome. I jumped into building straight away without checking the hypotheses first, then I felt overwhelmed, didn’t see any chances of success, rarely looked for any advice and finally quit.
Oh, and the perfectionism. The one thing guilty of killing an unimaginable number of good ideas and projects.
And I think it must stop.
I’m starting this blog to be consistent with my efforts and take small steps frequently. I will share my mistakes so my readers and future me have a chance to avoid them. I hope to learn new skills and mental models from people around me and the internet. And learn to be a writer by doing, of course. I’ll be happy if my blog encourages people (and yours truly) to be brave and take steps towards their dreams and a better future.
Also, running a blog is a good excuse to do curious things, justifying time and money investment with “it’s fine I’m going to write about it”. 😉
Welcome, dear reader! I hope to bring you value and joy.
